Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Towing Dispatcher to join our team and coordinate towing services efficiently and effectively.

The Towing Dispatcher will be responsible for receiving incoming calls for roadside assistance and dispatching appropriate tow trucks to the location.

This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely and reliable service.

Responsibilities:

Receive and

Manage Calls:
Answer incoming calls from customers requiring towing services, roadside assistance, or other related services. Gather necessary information such as location, vehicle details, and service required.

Dispatch Tow Trucks: Coordinate with tow truck drivers to dispatch them to the appropriate locations based on urgency, distance, and availability. Ensure that drivers have all necessary information for efficient service delivery.
Maintain Communication: Keep open lines of communication with customers, tow truck drivers, and other team members to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, dispatches, and customer information. Utilize computer systems or dispatch software for recording and tracking purposes.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the towing process.
Coordinate with

Roadside Assistance Providers:

Collaborate with roadside assistance providers, insurance companies, and law enforcement agencies as needed to facilitate towing and recovery operations.

Monitor Operations: Monitor the progress of towing operations, track towed vehicles, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in dispatching, logistics, or related fields is a plus.
Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role, preferably in the towing or automotive industry.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, drivers, and team members.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant tools.
Knowledge of towing regulations, safety procedures, and geographical areas is desirable.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while making quick and accurate decisions.

Working Conditions:

This role typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional work in outdoor or field settings.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage for towing services.
May involve sitting for extended periods, using a computer and phone systems, and occasional lifting or moving of lightweight objects.
