We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Cross-Functional Relationship Mgt and Bus Dev Manager to join our team.

This role is a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week in office), and can be located out of our New York City, NY office.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Actively pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, influencer/prospect list, product category, or business/industry segment.
Serve in a consultative capacity, advising top leadership on achieving their strategic objectives through our solutions.
Conduct in-depth industry research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve new business revenue targets.
Independently generate leads through industry research, prospecting, and initiating contact with potential clients.

Collaborate with internal teams (Product Managers, Transaction Managers, Client Service) and firm-wide resources (marketing, legal, compliance) to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and risk management activities.

Track and report on business development efforts, calling activities, and deal pipeline. Provide reports to management identifying trends and opportunities.


To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

7-10 years of work experience, preferably in Debt Capital Markets/Fixed Income Origination or Corporate Trust in a customer-facing role within Latam and the US.

Strong understanding of the marketplace, competitive landscape, and industry drivers in the relevant region preferred.
Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to independently develop leads and initiate contact with industry leaders.
Experience in evaluating prospects by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, growth potential, and financials.
Ability to work closely with internal teams and firm-wide resources to secure mandates effectively.
May also be responsible for achieving incremental growth from existing clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.

However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored
