- Collect samples from designated locations according to established protocols and guidelines
- Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples to maintain their integrity and prevent cross-contamination
- Package and prepare samples for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Maintain detailed records of sample collection, including location, time, and any relevant observations
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while collecting samples
- Collaborate with scientists and other team members to troubleshoot any issues related to sample collection and processing
- Assist in data entry and analysis as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laboratory or field sampling environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel within a 250-mile radius
