The
OR Nurse, under the immediate supervision of the Operating Room Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for the safety of the patients while in the OR and assists with the supervision of nonprofessional personnel in the unit.


Responsibilities:


  • Collects, interprets, records, and communicates pertinent data that are relative to the patient's care in surgery
  • Utilizes data collected to plan for intraoperative nursing care
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the safety and administration of quality care to each patient to meet their physical, psychological, and psychosocial needs
  • Continuously evaluates the patient's response to nursing interventions and modifies the plan of care to achieve desired outcomes
  • Supervises and directs patient care in an individual operating room
  • Provides guidance and supervision to ancillary nursing staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • New hire training on all systems and office practices
  • Training support and communication of all ASC information
  • Proficient in all ASC operations

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • State licensure as Registered Nurse required.
  • Knowledge and experience in perioperative care of the surgical patient in ambulatory surgery
  • BLS, ACLS qualified
  • Ability to handle stressful work environment; comfortable performing a variety of projects in conjunction with normal activities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as doctor's notes
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Self-Starter
  • Professional Leadership Skills
