The Reporting & Consolidations Analyst will be an integral individual in the financial reporting and consolidation process at Ferrara Candy.

Given Ferrara's growth objectives as evidenced by the recent acquisitions of Dori Alimentos and Jelly Belly, this newly created role will be critical to implementing and standardizing the global consolidation process and assisting with the financial reporting process at Ferrara.

This role is part of the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations Group and works collaboratively and cross-functionally to drive accurate financial results and is a key player within the Finance organization.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, ensuring the results are complete and accurate and delivered timely to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the consolidation process and ensure all parties submit financial data in accordance with deadlines and that appropriate reviews of information submitted are performed
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliation among all the entities and prepare summary schedules for the intercompany transactions between business segments.
  • Work on special projects, such as valuations, transactions, system implementations, other regulatory filings.
  • Be a primary point of contact with FP&A for our annual budget process and with our external auditors during our yearend audit.
  • Participate in the coordination, preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to comply with GAAP and lender requirements.
  • Support the team with technical accounting research and draft memos, including implementation of new FASB standards and ensuring proper GAAP accounting treatment on significant and/or nonstandard transactions.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and special project work as assigned.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of company financial information.

Experiences that will support your success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA and/or Master's Degree preferred
  • 13+ years experience in consolidations or relevant experience
  • Experience in SAP preferred
  • Experience in FCCS/HFM preferred
  • 13 years working knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and SOX control processes
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user including creating formulas, pivot tables, vlook ups, etc. in Excel
  • Experience in the CPG industry is preferred
  • Public accounting experience, preferably with the Big 4, is preferred
  • Ability to work overtime and effectively under tight time constraints as required at peak reporting periods
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
