Position Summary:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle.

Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent a plus
35 years' experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing
Prior experience as a production planner in the industry preferred.
Good understanding of the industry market trends and conditions.
Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills
Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
Sharp analytical and problemsolving skills
Meticulous and diligent
Understanding of VISUAL ERP, safety stock modeling, and forecasting a plus.
Must be able to perform at a high level of accuracy.
Must be proactive and engaging for continuous improvements.
Must have a strong sense of urgency to service internal / external customers.
Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player.
Proficient in MS Office software suite
APICS, ISM, Lean, or Six Sigma certification a plus
Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time.
Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

Review recently booked projects to determine the scope, commodity counts and plan for the long lead items.
Update and maintain the master schedule adding, removing, and maintaining daily updates.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, finished goods, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Participate in scheduling meetings, provide input of improved or delayed lead times of critical suppliers.
Align with key stakeholders to deliver on commitments, ensure we seek to improve processes.
Proactively expedite orders to ensure we meet production priority commitment dates.
Produce reports based on findings and performance of production.
Provide expertise in being a liaison between departments to meet or improve delivery dates.
