DescriptionBrief Job Summary: Keeps working areas in production departments of industrial establishment in clean and orderly condition by performing the job functions. Following Good Manufacture Practices, OSHA standards, and Sanitation practices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs sanitization operations to allow safe production of quality products.
- Follow all SQF, GMP, Safety and Sanitation policies and procedures.
- Handle and use various cleaning & sanitizing chemicals.
- Remove, disassemble production equipment for sanitation purposes
- Completely sanitize and clean all aspects of production equipment and room as instructed
- Replace or reassemble production equipment after inspection and completed sanitation.
- Lift and carry approved cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Sanitize Walls and Ceilings using ladders and/or lift
- Use dolly, when necessary
- Sanitizes and Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors.
- Sanitizes and Cleans screens and filters.
- Scrubs processing tanks and vats.
- Sanitizes and Cleans floors.
- Transport and use chemicals throughout plant
- Washes walls and ceiling
- Use Cleaning supplies and equipment
- Use Pressure washer/hose/gun (operated by trained individuals only)
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Technical college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as well as the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Oral Expression The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Oral Comprehension The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

- Active Listening Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Able to bend, squat, lift, twist, stoop, crawl, and climb
- Able to stand and walk for shift.
Working Conditions:
The employee can be exposed to wet or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat.
