Description

As an Inventory Assistant at SMS Appraisal, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of inventory and assisting in the appraisal process.

You will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and documenting inventory items to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of appraisals.


Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming appraisal items. Organize and store items in designated locations to facilitate easy access and retrieval. Maintain inventory databases or spreadsheets to track quantities, locations, and other relevant information.

Appraisal Support: Assist appraisers in locating and accessing inventory items for appraisal purposes. Prepare appraisal items for inspection by cleaning, photographing, and documenting their condition. Assist in handling and transporting items as needed.

Quality Control: Inspect inventory items for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Document any issues and report them to supervisors or appraisers. Ensure that all appraisal items meet quality standards and are accurately represented in appraisal reports.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and disposals. Generate inventory reports and summaries as needed to track inventory levels and trends. Provide regular updates to management on inventory status and issues.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including appraisers, administrative staff, and vendors, to ensure smooth inventory operations. Communicate effectively to resolve any inventory-related issues or concerns.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a related field such as appraisal, logistics, or retail.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay:
$ $24.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
