THIS POSITION IS AT-WILL

Summary of Position:

Directly responsible for overseeing foodservice administrative responsibilities and developing and managing menus' in conjunction with the Sr. General Manager of Foodservice, for the Flowing Wells Foodservice Department.


Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities, Include without Limitation:

• Understand and comply completely with all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, directives, assignments, and training programs.
• Develop menus for Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools for breakfast, lunch, FFVP, and snack programs
• Enter and make menus in menu analysis software and menu template for distribution to public
• Help develop heath education and programs for students and staff at Flowing Wells USD
• Ensure that all sites enter and fill out production numbers on time and correctly
• Ensure that all menus balance and meet USDA standards
• Print and distribute production records to field
• Ensure daily production records are filled out correctly and filed accordingly
• Ensure that monthly paperwork (temperature logs) are filed correctly
• Distribute nutritional information to school nurses
• Develop menus and plan for Roaming Chef grant program at Flowing Wells USD
• Develop nutritional outreach and programs as requested by the General Manager of Foodservice for Flowing Wells USD.
• Maintain a working knowledge of cashiering and Point of Sale system to cover as needed.
• Maintain a working knowledge of kitchen operations in order to cover school sites as needed.
• Ensure daily invoices are processed and filed in accordance with Flowing Wells USD and SFE policies
• Prepare and maintain MEALS (End of Month Accounting) workbook for Flowing Wells USD
• Fill in where needed to ensure customer service standards and efficient operations
• Fully understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, regulations and rules including those that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements in regards to SFE and district employees and customers and operations.
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion with respect to any matter not specifically addressed by the Company's Policies.
• Other functions, duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or which are necessary or appropriate to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• This position requires a leader and is able to handle a fast pace environment
• A minimum BS in Nutrition or Business Management or related field is required
• 2 years of experience in administrate or nutrition or customer service is preferred
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with other Managers, Directors, Administrators, students, and parents
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
• Possess basic math skills
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of the following computer programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Prior school foodservice experience preferred

Pay:
$ $22.50 per hour
