CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with business users as well as our Project Management Office to analyze and document user requirements, information needs, workflows, and procedures.
- Ensure that solutions are maintainable, reusable, reliable, architecturally sound, and secure.
- Test, review, and thoroughly verify newly developed code and systems before deployment.
- Automate and enhance campus business processes by analyzing current practices and designing endtoend systems to perform necessary tasks efficiently using the best available technologies and practices.
- Maintain currency of knowledge and skills related to programming, database systems, development tools, networking, and related technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent
- Programming experience with relational database management systems and SQL
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and environment.
- Ability to define project goals and work independently to complete projects while adhering to the established schedule.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work weekend and offhour work on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming experience with ERP systems (preferably Banner) and Oracle database tools and utilities.
- PL/SQL, Python, and/or Java
- API use and development (REST/JSON)
- Web design and development (including Javascript and CSS)
- CI/CD tools and testdriven development
- Automation and integration platforms
- Banner HR, Finance, and/or Student modules
Salary Range
$75,000 - $100,000
