OverviewPosition Summary:
The Manager Med Surg Tele has responsibility for the administration, organization and professional management of the Acute Care Services (Med-Surg/Telemetry/Oncology Units).
Specifically, the position is accountable for the ongoing evaluation of unit operations and quality outcomes; prepares and is accountable for the operational and capital budgets for all areas of responsibility; and ensures that all services meet the needs of physicians, patients, families, and ancillary departments and staff.
This position serves as a liaison between Medical Staff and Administration and is accountable to the Country, State and Federal agencies as well as Joint Commission for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards, and contributing quality patient outcomes while consistently maintaining the highest level of customer service.
ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director of Acute Care Services (Med-Surg/Telemetry/Oncology Units) in collaboration with medical staff and clinical hospital staff the Manager Med Surg provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of safe, quality patient care.
Responsible for planning, directing and managing the patient care delivered to the designated population external to the Med-Surg/Telemetry/Oncology Units Department.
Oversees the 24-hour operation of the Med-Surg/Telemetry/Oncology Units with accountability for leadership, staffing, planning, organizing, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's care needs are assessed, evaluated and met.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
