Location:

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Assist with multiple cutovers and network implementation projects across 150 sites.
Configure networks on new sites.
Coordinate with networking professionals located physically onsite.

Skillset / Experience:
Strong professional experience as a Network Engineer with large-to-enterprise-level organizations.
Familiarity with Cisco (required) , Extreme, Aruba, & HP networking hardware and applicable software.

Looking for a skilled Network Engineer with experience in the following areas: data network switching, routing, NATing, routing protocols, VLANs, fine-grained subnetting, as well as related data networking concerns pertaining to the support of VoIP telephone systems.

Familiarity with Service Now (SNOW) ticketing system.
Availability after hours for evening cutovers.

Resource is to be a skilled network engineer experienced in data network switching, routing, routing protocols, VLANs, fine-grained subnetting, as well as related data networking concerns pertaining to the support of VoIP telephone systems.

Resource will work within the IT Integration team and coordinate with a project manager on scheduling / prioritization, and with other network engineers, site-located contractors, and branch personnel to install parallel networks and / or cut-over from legacy networks to new networks.

Resource will personally design site-level networking strategies and configure a broad range of networking equipment from multiple vendors in support of acquisition integration activities in ways that maintain support for legacy systems such as the acquired companies' existing branch office networks, data center connectivity and VoIP telephony.

In coordination with project managers and supervisor, adjusts work schedule to limit hours worked to 40 / week while being available for an average of 2.5 after-hours (> 5:00 PM site local time) turn-ups per week.

Actively participate in planning with project managers, leads, and supervisors, identifying and addressing scheduling concerns, capability gaps, and similar roadblocks.

Communicate status of initiatives, the presence of risks, and other information of importance to stakeholders in a timely manner
