Description

Position Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Environment: Hybrid

Position Status: Contract

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
CCNP / with cisco exp.
Routing, Switching and Firewall Configuration
experience with layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing concepts
experience with MPLS and WAN concepts and technology
with Cisco DMVPN a plus
with Cisco Firepower a plus
with zero-trust security posture environments a plus

The Senior IT Network Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining their network infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and scalability.

Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

the design, configuration, and deployment of network solutions that meet business requirements.
with cross-functional teams to assess network needs and recommend improvements.

Network Optimization and Performance:

monitor and manage network health, performance, and security.
and resolve complex network issues and incidents promptly.
capacity planning and scaling strategies.

Security and Compliance:

and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
network compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
reports on network performance, capacity, and security.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.

Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Project Management:

Manage and lead network-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Evaluate and manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.

Ensure vendor deliverables align with project requirements and performance expectations.
