Head of Building Management Department - Kirklin, United States - FusionWorks
Description
We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) permanent position to be filled in the scope of a 100% position at Kirklin.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing, directing, and developing the Building Management department, which includes infrastructure, technical and commercial building management, as well as construction management
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of 30 employees
- Representing the Building Management department in committees within and outside the university
- Budget planning and controlling
- Handling property matters such as acquisition, sale, rental, and leasing of spaces, as well as fundamental matters
- Responsible for operation, space and location development, construction planning, implementation of a CAFM system, and integration of sustainability aspects
Your profile should include:
- Completed university degree (Master's/Diploma (Univ.) or Bachelor's/Diploma (FH)) in fields such as civil engineering, architecture, electrical engineering, energy, building and environmental technology, facility management, or a related field
- Relevant expertise and professional experience in construction and building technology, as well as construction planning
- Excellent knowledge of relevant federal and state building regulations and associated regulations (e.g. occupational safety law, operational safety regulation, technical inspection regulation, waste law, relevant university regulations)
- Comprehensive knowledge of business administration and relevant budgetary regulations, including LHO, VOL, and VOB
- Extensive experience in project management
