Working Conditions

Work is primarily conducted in an office and remote environment and using standard computer equipment; work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods; work includes attending in-person, telephone and web-based meetings; travel to work with staff in various locations throughout the State and cooperators in various agencies and organizations to complete work assignments and coordinate projects and activities; occasional overnight, weekend, and holiday travel may be required; may occasionally participate in extended at-sea and field studies to better understand data collected and managed.

Staff will work a 7/40 work schedule. Weekend work, early morning and late-night work hours are occasionally required with advance notice.

Only the following office locations will be considered for this position - Monterey, Santa Barbara, Seal Beach, San Pedro and San Diego.
