AP Manager

The AP Manager will demonstrate strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, expertise in developing cash flow and liquidity models, and the ability to proactively collaborate within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts payable transactions, and overseeing a team of accounts payable specialists. In addition, this role involves leading an efficient, united, and success-oriented team, as well as managing change effectively as the shared-services functional team expands.

  • Global short term and long term cash forecasting, variance analysis, risk and reconciliation, strategic planning, and budgeting.
  • Supervision of day-to-day accounts payable department operations.
  • Oversight of bank accounts and enhancement of operational efficiencies by monitoring accounts globally to optimize funds flow and reduce bank fees.
  • Development of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly cash plans by analyzing budgetary requirements and financial reports to ensure adequate cash availability.
  • Implementation of strategies to improve the company's cash position.
  • Team management including guidance, training, and performance evaluations for AP specialists.
  • Leading and guiding the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices and payment requests to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.
  • Maintenance of precise records of accounts payable transactions and activities.
  • Preparation and analysis of financial reports, including aging reports, spending analytics, cash flow projections, and key metrics.
  • Cultivation of strong relationships with vendors and customers to address inquiries, disputes, and payment matters.
  • Identification and promotion of automation opportunities for global cash flow forecasting processes.
  • Collaboration with finance and technology teams to enhance ERP and treasury systems.
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analyses and studies and contributing to financial projects.
  • Assessment and mitigation of risks in liquidity management for operational planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Participation in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Required qualifications: 5+ years' experience as an AP Manager in a complex business setting, proven financial forecasting and analysis expertise, Bachelor's degree, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel) and financial systems (NetSuite preferred), familiarity with process automation and accounting software solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, exceptional presentation, reporting, and communication capabilities.
  • Self-starter mentality.
