Brookes Publishing, a scholarly publishing company in Towson, is looking for an Order Entry Service Specialist to join our call center team.

Brookes publishes educational resources, assessments, and curricula for professionals in early childhood, special education, and speech-language pathology.

  • Accurately entering and processing phone, mail, website, and fax orders for various products and services
  • Gathering and entering complete and accurate customer, account, delivery, and payment information into order fulfillment system(s)
  • Documenting customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries accurately
  • Understanding customer account balances, credits, debits, refunds, and payment reconciliation
  • Troubleshooting order errors and payment discrepancies to resolve customer account issues
  • Entering product data into various databases
  • Maintaining knowledge of product updates and company policies to provide accurate information to customers

This position requires:

  • Relevant experience; order entry and/or call center experience preferred
  • High levels of accuracy and efficiency with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional suite
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team
