    LHH is looking for a Senior Accountant to work for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role on the accounting team and ensure the accuracy of their financial reporting and analysis. The Senior Accountant will oversee a variety of accounting functions and provide strategic insights to support the company's financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), superior analytical skills, and ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.

    The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:

    • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
    • Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
    • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
    • Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
    • Assist with external audits and tax filings, liaising with auditors and tax professionals as required.
    • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize processes.
    • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

    The Senior Accountant will need to have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA and/or CPA certification a plus.
    • Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior accounting role, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting regulations.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or ).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

    This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $85,000 to $100,000 and benefits may include Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, Retirement savings plan with employer match, and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.

    Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
