Logistics Specialist

JOB OVERVIEW

The Key Objective of the Logistic Specialist is to contribute to the growth and profitability of Multi-Pak by effectively by supporting the Logistics Manager in managing the shipments out to customers.

Specifically, under the general direction of the Logistic Manager, he/she is responsible and has commensurate authority for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinating and Planning:

Support the coordination, planning, execution, and monitoring of logistic operations.
Organize all finished goods from the Clinton production/warehouse at Chapin by PO and Lot numbers.
Provide a daily tracker of all finished goods in the warehouse.

Shipping and Receiving:

Ensure all outgoing and incoming shipments are accurate and undamaged.
Responsible for managing all shipment documents (such as BOL, invoices, and packing lists) with the truck drivers.
Maintain an inventory of shipping supplies.

Customer Interaction:

When necessary, support the Logistics Manager by providing customers with order confirmations.
Confirm appointments for all shipments in and out of the warehouse and hold drivers to the schedule.

Incoming and Outgoing Materials:

Process outbound shipments, including order confirmation and physical checks of outgoing materials.
Ensure a double check of the number of pallets on the outgoing truck occurs.
In support of warehouse personnel, at times the job will require receiving incoming shipments. Follow established procedures and compare received items with the shipment order, ensure material quality, and stock them in the warehouse.
All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

A collaborative and positive attitude is required. A desire to learn is exhibited.
A high school graduate with experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management for a manufacturing company.
Bilingual is a plus (English-Spanish).
Proficiency in math and basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel)
Previous certification demonstrating ability to drive a forklift.

Manager: Logistics Manager
Managerial Responsibility: N/A

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to liftup to 45 pounds frequently and 75 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to push manual pallet jacks over 100 pounds.
Must be able to walk or stand up to 90% of the time.
The person in this position is sometimes required to function in narrow aisles or passageways while walking throughout the warehouse area.
The person in this position will need to occasionally kneel, climb, crawl, climb and/or reach to complete their job duties.

Pay:
$42, $48,880.00 per year

Experience:

Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:
