    Purpose:

    The Assistant Group Leader is responsible for handling the day to day assembly oversight for our Equipment Solutions and Support team on the off shift.

    The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the assembly team is working efficiently and effectively per project timelines.

    This includes monitoring scheduling, performance and plant support on automated end of line solutions ranging in scale from $50k to $2 million.

    This role will work on either 2nd or 3rd shift

    Responsibilities


    • Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
    • Identify resources needed to hit project timelines.
    • Meet with leadership teams to conduct risk assessments for all segments of projects.
    • Report progress updates daily to the group leader.
    • Maintain, track and report on overall assembly and commissioning progress against project schedules.
    • Assist with procurement process as needed.
    • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities throughout the assembly process and driving corrective actions to completion.
    Qualifications


    • Associates degree in Technical field or Equivalent experience leading technical team/operations assembly process.
    • Prior experience with assembling automation or manufacturing machines.
    • Effective and concise communication skills.
    • Motivated, self-starter, with a willingness to lead and grow.
    • Personable, with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with corporate engineers and plant personnel.
    • Working knowledge of machine control systems. E.g. (PLC's, HMI's, Robot Controllers, Motion Control, VFD's)
    • Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
    • Working knowledge of both AC & DC electrical circuitry.
    • Organized and detail-oriented individual with prior ISO compliance experience.
    • Reasoning, analytical, and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to work well in a goal oriented, team environment.

    Desired Skills:

    • Project management/organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
    • Experience in end-of-line automation in Injection, Thermoforming and/or Blow molding.
    • Experience with AutoCAD or other design software.
