    Mott MacDonald North America is looking to appoint a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide leadership to all facilities engineering activities in North America.

    The facilities projects encompass renewable power generation scope including solar, wind, and battery energy storage as well as any form of oil and gas infrastructure.

    You will provide leadership to an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers and designers and in some instances, you may also be required to act as the Project Principal on key projects of significant importance.


    You are expected to work collaboratively, helping to develop the brand, leveraging skills to win and deliver work in North America and providing support to the international team and for wider projects and prospects.

    The responsibilities of the position will be varied, but will typically include:
    Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of work activities with other multi-discipline project team members.
    Engineering technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
    Accountable to provide design activities in accordance with applicable codes and standards, policies, and procedures.
    Mentor and provide guidance to developing engineers within the department.
    Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
    Review the design work completed by his/her peers and ensure compliance with scope and QA/QC requirements.
    Supporting business planning, development, and training.

    Candidate Specification:


    You are a team leader who is comfortable liaising with stakeholders internally and externally with an exceptional ability to communicate orally and through written correspondence.

    You have a strong work ethic and take pride and accountability in your duties and accomplishments as an individual.

    You have expansive experience in consulting environments and understand the importance of keeping all parties involved in a project always updated and in the loop.

    We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
    Significant knowledge of electrical engineering with 15+ years' experience.
    Has demonstrated thought leadership and project delivery with a notable market profile, including delivering significant size assignments.
    A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized accredited institution.

    Professional Registration:
    (PE) required, additional states would be considered a plus.
    Management and leadership experience of a team.
    Has experience of working with OEMs, Contractors, and Consultants.
    Excellent communication skills.

    Salary Range: 130, ,000 based on experience
