The Site Support Services business unit manages over 3.5 million square feet of facilities at over 150 ambulatory care and administrative locations across the Bay area.

This encompasses multiple Stanford Medicine entities including Stanford Health Care, Stanford Medicine Children's Health, and Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley.

With a budget of over 64-million-dollars, Site Support Services oversees facility engineering, facility maintenance, project/construction management, property/facility management, housekeeping, and collaborates with security and environmental health & safety.

As a team, Stanford Health Care ("SHC") is driven by curiosity, passion, and optimism and believes that everybody can grow SHC is seeking a Program Project Coordinator ("PPC") who shares the same beliefs, is also organized, and enjoys finding new work processes. The PPC reports to the Manager - Business Operations. The PPC will be hybrid and will report onsite on a weekly basis or when operational needs deem necessary. The PPC will be responsible for supporting project management initiatives, and projects made up of internal and external resources to deliver business solutions and services to the department. The Program Project Coordinator will provide maintenance of all projects stored in SharePoint. This person would contribute to the development and maintenance of a detailed project plan to include milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion. Additionally, the PPC will review and update departmental policies and procedures of Stanford Health Care Clinics compatible with Joint Commission requirements.


A Brief Overview

Under the direction of the Manager, assist managing projects and programs which support the Stanford Hospital and Clinics organization and integration of the department.

Provides leadership in the areas of financial management, human resources, communications, purchasing, inventory management, and other department support. Coordinates projects and activities. Serves as liaison to customers and other departments. Strong, positive relationships required with support departments as well as with vendors.

What you will do

  • Project Coordinator: Manages reporting and ensures company resources are utilized appropriately. Manages project schedules. Coordinates departmental project activities and ensures project phases are documented appropriately.
  • Leadership: Manages individual projects as they arise and provides direction regarding additional areas of opportunity. Presents results and manages/facilitates individual workshops and committee meetings.
  • Administrative Support: Provides leadership and expertise of the administrative processes and flow of paperwork within Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC).
  • Human Resources & Recruitment: Provides policy and procedure expertise as requested by the Management Team. Guarantees timely submission of evaluations and paperwork associated with the smooth functioning of personnel within department. Coordinates hiring new employees, and gives initial department orientation and reviews departmental HealthStream Courses compliance.
