FTT is a growing world class turbomachinery company in beautiful Jupiter, Florida USA which employs 250 + engineers and technicians with over 4,000 combined years of aero engine (military and commercial), industrial, and space turbomachinery experience.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Preparing and consolidating financial statements
  • Establishing and maintaining internal controls
  • Managing all aspects of the general ledger


  • Treasury Management

  • Providing monthly, quarterly, and yearend analyses
  • Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
  • Analyzing and reporting cost variances
  • Serving as a liaison to external auditors
  • Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accountants
  • Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting
  • Project Job Cost Accounting
  • International multicurrency transaction experience
  • Normally receives mínimal instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Uses officeautomated systems to input data and generate reports.
  • Checks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Reconcile difficult accounts.
  • Works on assignments that are difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5 +years' experience with progressive accounting /financial reporting
  • Federal Government contract accounting experience a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Good Communications Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (strong working knowledge of Excel)
  • Organized, accurate, detailoriented and able to prioritize.
  • Must be a highly motivated selfstarter.
  • Deltek Costpoint or Similar ERP system experience
  • Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
  • Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office/open cubicle environment.
