    Multisystemic Therapist (MST)

    Location:

    Montrose, COSeeking therapists passionate about supporting youth and families by strengthening relationships and decreasing delinquent type behaviorsDescriptionMST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a scientifically proven treatment model that targets youth 12-17 who are exhibiting delinquent type behaviors such as running away, substance use, defiance, aggression, and truancy.

    Therapists work closely with parents and caregivers to leverage change by working in families' homes and in the community.
    This position provides in-home services for Montrose and the surrounding areas.

    Break cycle of system involvementEmpower families to create lasting changeEngage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment.

    Identify and overcome barriers.
    Conduct therapy in the community, in family's homes.
    Use behavioral, CBT, Motivational interviewing.
    Maintain small, intensive caseload of 4-6 families.
    Meet weekly for group supervision and expert consultation.

    Gravitate towards action-oriented and solution focused therapy.
    Recognize how social systems/ecology impact youth behavior.
    Have a passion for engaging parents struggling with teens' behavioral issues.
    Are comfortable with in-home therapy.
