We are seeking a candidate to lead the development of new quantum architectures using the photonic quantum platform in South Whittier. A deep understanding of quantum optical principles and our photonic hardware is essential to achieve our goal of harnessing the quantum advantage. Working closely with hardware experts, you will help formulate comprehensive system specifications for manufacturing photonic chips. These chips will then be used to execute quantum algorithms tailored to address specific industrial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the unique advantages of photonics to convert complex computations and algorithms into efficient optical systems, improving performance, power efficiency, and scalability.
  • Design and develop photonic computing systems for analog computing, optimization, and AI applications.
  • Conduct system-level simulations to evaluate performance and optimize system architecture.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and physicists in cross-functional teams to determine system requirements and specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, analog computing, and photonic computing to guide product development and technological roadmap.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least three years of postdoctoral or industry experience.
