Overview:

Busy company in Alexandria seeks a detail-oriented person to provide administrative support to our accounting office.


This position will support and be exposed to many of the accounting tasks of a business including data entry, reconciliation of credit card transactions in QuickBooks, collating receipts, categorizing expenses, and other related duties.

The role involves maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.


This is a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position at our office at 6363 Walker Lane, Alexandria, Va This is not a remote or hybrid position.


Duties Include:


  • Administrative and data entry support primarily for the accounting office, including working in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our financial policies.
  • Reconcile credit card statements with receipts and transactions to ensure all charges are accounted for and properly documented.
  • Various duties as assigned to support company executives.

Required Skills:


  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in QuickBooks. Otherwise, some experience working in any kind of finance or accounting capacity will be required in the absence of QuickBooks experience.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Total followthrough on all assigned tasks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to follow processes and participate in the creation of new processes.

Pay:
$37, $42,000.00 per year
