Marine Industry Technical Trainer
This is a direct hire position located onsite in Orange County, California (Costa Mesa)

Your Role:

• Curriculum Development: Develop comprehensive training materials tailored to different skill levels and learning styles, including lesson plans, presentations, and handson activities. Stay updated with advancements in engine technology and incorporate relevant information into the curriculum. Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and trainee progress to track performance and identify trends.
• Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions on engine mechanics, covering engine components, diagnostics, repair techniques, and maintenance procedures. Utilize various teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and practical exercises, to facilitate learning and skill development.
• Handson Instruction: Under the guidance of our Master Technician, you will provide handson guidance and supervision to trainees as they work on engines, ensuring proper techniques and safety protocols are followed. You will also demonstrate best practices and troubleshoot common issues to enhance trainees' proficiency and confidence.
• Develop and deliver a variety of training materials for learners that may include interactive job aids, outlines, handouts, and onthejob training guides
• Work in a team environment
• Stay up to date and learn new engines and systems as released
• Travel as needed both domestically and internationally
• Attend service and product training as required (paid for by the Company)
• Collect feedback/surveys from sessions with attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentations.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 3+ years of technical training experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Teaching or training certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to develop a structured curriculum and manage training schedules effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for mentoring others to succeed in the field of engine mechanics
• Strong customer service skills and easily builds relationships
• Must have a valid California driver's license (a valid US Passport or ability to obtain one is required)
