Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience paint shop operations

Eligibility Requirements:

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled

  • Requires use of basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, measuring tape, calipers, scales, etc.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
  • Understanding of basic mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system; milliliters, grams, etc.)
  • Must pass visual acuity exam

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Perform painting on all products and specialized parts (i.e.
  • DDSI parts, bellows, NPD)
  • Perform complex error repairs in materials or surfaces
  • Responsible for ensuring expiration date of materials to ensure materials are current
  • Most frequent interaction with internal and/or external customers and support functions (i.e.
  • Planners, Engineering) outside of home department
  • Act as primary contact for auditors
  • Perform duties on prototype or first time builds
  • Participate in and support team initiatives
  • Crosstrain with other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience
  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation
  • Assist in inspection of painted/coated parts;
  • Possess understanding of paint room processes and proper workflow
  • Participate in, support, and assist leading team initiatives
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach
  • Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up
  • Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues
  • Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance and inspections for compliance
  • Keep equipment in operation by making timely adjustments
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products
  • Must be comfortable working with and around chemicals
  • Must be FAA Certified
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
  • Other duties as required per department.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience working with paints and coatings, and understanding of basic chemical safety
  • Experience in a selfdirected teaming environment
  • 35 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Ability to proactively work with limited supervision

Additional Information:

The pay for this position is $20.60/hr. plus $2/hr. for the shift difference.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
