Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Sales/Project Manager to handle bidding, selling, and overseeing projects to completion. The Door and Hardware Industry is a competitive field where precision, attention to detail, mechanical skills, and efficiency are crucial for project success. We offer a competitive commission structure and ongoing training and growth opportunities.

This role includes a base salary plus commission. Our commission plan has no limit, empowering employees to maximize their earnings. Additionally, performance-based bonuses are integrated into the program.

Essential Job Functions

  • Engage with new and existing clients to identify required products and services
  • Estimate project costs and provide written quotations
  • Ensure excellent service by liaising with clients, manufacturers, architects, and colleagues
  • Resolve unique customer issues and requirements through research and problem-solving
  • Conduct quantity take-offs
  • Keep projects on track and within budget
  • Manage inventory and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate within the TCH sales teams
  • Create detailed project shop drawings
  • Analyze projects and product varieties to enhance cost efficiency and margins
  • Participate in industry-specific training to enhance industry knowledge
  • Perform other assigned duties

Skills Requirements

  • 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience (experience with commercial construction and general or sub-contractors is a bonus)
  • 2-5 years of experience in Division 8 doors, frames, and hardware
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Clear and effective communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Strong cognitive abilities, problem-solving, decision-making, and comprehension skills
  • Excellent customer service skills to foster strong client relationships
  • Proficiency in Windows/Google-based computer software
  • Prior experience with projects in education, hospitality, healthcare, and tenant improvement

Working Conditions

The role involves office work with extended computer use. Periodic site visits may be necessary, involving dusty or noisy environments and walking on various surfaces, requiring Personal Protective Equipment.
