PURPOSE OF THE JOBESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Support Commissioners and staff in departments across the Commission with projects in but not limited to: Communications, Equity Programming, Community Outreach, Government Affairs, Human Resources, Enforcement, and Operations.- Develop or assist with developing creative assets and outreach materials such as website and social media graphics, posters, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, photography, and videography elements.- Assist with formatting and templating branded Commission collateral, educational materials, and promotional items.- Assist staff at Commission and public speaking events, seminars, and trade shows as requested.- Assist in the collection, management, and production of information to analyze and communicate data, trends, and reporting; and- Administrative support work as needed and all other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct and support the Commission's goals for a diverse and culturally aware workforce.
  • Manage department equipment and outreach materials.
  • Track all internal creative service requests and ensure projects are completed efficiently and timely; and
  • Ability to spend approximately 10% of the time out of the office and traveling throughout the state.

    Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, or Communications preferred;
  • Minimum of 24 years of professional experience in an entrylevel or higher creative position supporting multiple projects, clients, or departments with a portfolio demonstrating past work.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with web design and experience working in a Content Management System (CMS). WordPress experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with intermediate knowledge of the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Express.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; and
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range:

$55,000 - $65,000

  • This position is noncivil service. This position is an exempt position.
