Description
The Office Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
The Office Clerk communicates with customers as required and in conjunction with customer Traffic Departments develops inbound and outbound schedules.
1st Shift Available; Part-TimeEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides scheduling of all inbound and outbound freight in compliance with customer Traffic Department operations
Coordinates receiving and shipping documents verifying accuracy
Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities
Verifies accuracy on shipping orders and shipping quantities matching picking documents
Assists in resolving and discrepancies
Collects all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper recording keeping unit
Directs and oversees the pallet control and exchange program
Provides assistance on special projects at the discretion of the Lead Customer Service Representative (CSR) or CSR Supervisor
Ensures security processes are followed with regard to the front desk (driver and visitor sign in)
Answers and routes all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages and routing to proper individual in a timely manner
Requirements:
High School Diploma preferred
Basic typing skills
Familiarity with 10-key
Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work in varying facility conditions including poor lighting and ventilation, exposure to noise, dust, LPG fumes, product orders, heat during the summer and cold during the winter
Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed by the customer
