YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Job Summary:

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for the regional implementation and execution of the strategies developed by the IMMs.

The PM is in charge of the regional development, management, organization, and control of short and long-term marketing and product management activities.

Further, they are responsible for managing suppliers, sourcing products and providing guidance regarding pricing and margin management to the local sales management and sales force.


  • Assist the Industry Market Manager (IMM) Team to implement on a regional basis the North American Strategy.
  • Represents the Team at a regional, so maintain the relationship of our NA vendor at a local level.
  • Participate to a selected number of Vendor reviews. Provide regional input.
  • In charge of assigned group of vendors in the regions
  • Sourcing, costing, day to day execution, spot pricing, etc
  • Coordinate activities with IMM and Supply Chain, throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure inventory minimum and established deadlines are met.
  • Responsible of the code creation process.
Gathering all relevant information, initiate the process and follow up.

  • Participates with sales management, Industry Market Managers and Business Development Managers in establishing recommended price changes base on market intel.
  • In charge of Contract Management of the region. Making sure we pull what we need from vendors and Sales pushed on customers to take what they have commit to.
  • Assist IMM and Supply Chain maintaining Working Capital at a reasonable level in the region. Provide insight on ROP, MOQ, etc. Actively participate on Inventory calls

Other Responsibilities:


  • Define industryspecific primary product baskets within region.
  • Work with the Sale steam and Identify profitable opportunities and Develop customer specific baskets/solution configurations.
  • Collaborate with other PMs in other Regions to ensure proper utilization of ressources and stocks, develop synergies and share best practices.
  • Support new product introductions and steer product compliance.
  • Update sales force on new products (including trainings/briefings).
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal teams and other departments.
  • Derive pricing input from market knowledge and supplier information and define valuebased pricing guidelines.
  • Inform sales management/sales force / Pricing Team / Supply Chain about Cost changes.
  • Maintain prices accuracy in the system for assign products and lines.
  • Control product costs and optimize GP margins.

YOUR PROFILE:


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required
  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in product management within the chemical or chemical distribution sector preferably in the chemical industry or at least B2B.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus
  • A solid track recording of achieving revenue and gross profit growth targets.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with erratic and demanding deadlines.
  • Very strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to drive a customercentric organization.
  • Effective change management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
