Do you have a keen eye for detail? Are you passionate about assisting others? As a member of our team, you will be responsible for handling staff bill charges, processing insurance claims, and collecting patient copays.

CRUCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To excel in this role, one must satisfactorily carry out each essential duty.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards
- Welcome patients in a warm and professional manner
- Efficiently manage patient check-out by verifying documentation, processing payments, filing claims, coordinating insurance matters, scheduling referrals, and accurately updating EHR
- Complete end-of-day tasks such as balancing cash drawer, processing deposits, rectifying data discrepancies, and submitting reports for verification
- Manage patient flow in the office and keep patients informed of any delays
- Address patient queries related to billing, procedures, policies, and services
- Evaluate and assist in the integration of new technology and equipment
- Ensure a safe and hygienic office environment
- Adhere to confidentiality policies as per HIPAA regulations
- Monitor organizational processes for compliance with policies and regulations as outlined by relevant agencies
- Demonstrate dedication to Standards of Care and Vision for Life principles
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the office manager and doctor(s)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Depending on patient volume and flow, you may need to perform the following tasks.
- Gather patient medical history and input data into EHR
- Address patient inquiries regarding medical procedures and medications
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in health science, math, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Preferred experience in medical office operations and knowledge of medical coding/billing
