Job Details:

We are currently seeking a full-time Social Media Editor (m/f/d) for our News department at our locations in Mainz or Berlin, initially on a two-year contract.

Your responsibilities:

You will be part of the editorial team and the main point of contact for editors and designers in your team, creating current content for various social media platforms
You will support the editorial team in personnel and project planning
You will closely collaborate with editorial decisionmakers on the client side
You will coordinate your project team and ensure smooth project execution
You will be responsible for quality management and improving work processes
You will coordinate the onboarding of new team members
You will keep track of guidelines, workflows, and tools
You will plan training sessions and take care of the development of your team

Your profile:

You have extensive editorial experience in a fastpaced newsroom
You have a quick grasp, think journalistically, and can keep track of things even in stressful situations
You have initial leadership experience in team and/or project management
You have an independent and structured way of working
You work precisely and solutionoriented, have a way with words, and are stylistically confident
You are familiar with popular social media platforms and know how to prepare content in a understandable and platformappropriate way
You have a confident and professional demeanor
You are wellversed in the world of news
