Works-in-Progress Associates (WPA) is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to become an integral part of our team This position will work with the Office of General Services (OGS) at Sagamore Children's Psychiatric Center in Dix Hills, NY. The candidate must have knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, preparation of change order review, and the review of payments.

Minimum Requirements:

Baccalaureate Degree in engineering/architecture and/or construction related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience on larger projects valued above $10 million, with knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, preparation of change order review, and the review of payments.
OSHA 30 certification is required.
A driver's license valid in New York State.
Demonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office (including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.

We have been in business for over 30 years and have completed well over 400 projects. We currently have somewhere between 40-50 employees.

Because we are a woman-owned firm we are on contracts with larger Construction Management firms such as LiRo, Hill International, Jacobs, Tectonic, Gilbane, etc. and we help them to meet their WBE goals. We provide Project Managers, Inspectors, Estimators, Office Engineers and so on. Currently we are on about 10-15 different contracts.
