Summary Statement

As a Social Service Specialist III, you will be responsible for specialized social service work that involves providing emergency assistance and crisis intervention to clients facing specific problems or life-threatening situations.

Essential Functions

Interview, assess, and advise clients to determine eligibility and needs.
Document and report client information.
Refer clients to appropriate resources.
Utilize social services and community resources to address client needs.
Maintain accurate records of services provided.
Provide referral information and promote effective public relations.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Social Service Specialist III

Three years of experience in health or human services support.
Three years of experience in applying laws and regulations.
Six months of experience in making service plan recommendations.
Six months of experience in record-keeping.
Six months of experience in using automated information systems.
