Description

As a Marketing Assistant, you will serve as an integral member of our dynamic marketing team, actively contributing to the promotion of our authors and their literary works.

Your role will involve executing innovative marketing campaigns, identifying leads, and strategizing ways to convert them into loyal readers.

You'll also play a key role in organizing events, both virtually and in-person, to connect authors with their audience and generate buzz around our publications.

Additionally, you'll provide crucial support for remote events, ensuring seamless execution and maximizing audience participation.


In addition to your direct responsibilities, you'll collaborate closely with our offshore digital marketing teams, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with our overall marketing strategy and objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborating with the marketing manager, internal teams, clients and partners on marketing strategy.
  • Handle calls and provide authors with updates on the status of their projects, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Explore and identify potential marketing avenues and pitch strategies to promote books effectively.
  • Research opportunities for author events, coordinate logistics, and organize events to maximize exposure and engagement.
  • Helping identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Learning and working with various types of software for digital marketing
  • Creating marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and presentations.
  • Giving presentations.
  • Maintaining a marketing database.
  • Providing administrative support to the marketing and sales team.
  • Preparing, formatting and editing a range of documents.
  • Understanding company product and brand.
  • General office duties:
  • Creating and interpreting a variety of reports.
  • Organizing market research.
  • Analysing questionnaires and other forms of feedback.
  • Working closely with the digital marketing team

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing and Sales or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum one or less than oneyear experience in a Sales/Marketing role.

Skills:

Required Skills:


  • A passion for selling and growing the business and flexibility to work across a variety of adult and children's books.
  • A strong interest in book promotion or related media (magazines, music, film, etc.).
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills such as multitasking, prioritizing tasks and managing a busy inbox with timely followup skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Social Media sites and other software.
  • Agility and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong business/commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and marketing skills.
  • Good knowledge of digital, and direct marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Advanced presentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong persuasive skills,
  • Ability to work independently.
