THE POSITION:


Do you possess a variety of trade skills and have an interest in career growth opportunities? Join our team at the Cumberland County Maintenance Office to assist skilled tradesmen with equipment repairs and perform manual labor, building maintenance, groundskeeping, and cleaning.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

In this position, you will support skilled tradespeople in repairing and maintaining a fleet of equipment and hand tools. You will independently handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks like replacing hoses, wires, light bulbs, filters, and lubrication. Accurate recording of parts and time charges is essential.

You will drive a non-commercial vehicle for deliveries and pickups of parts and mail as required.

Additionally, you will identify equipment issues using diagnostic tools, assist in troubleshooting, and perform minor repairs on motorized hand equipment.

Your responsibilities will also include manual labor, snow shoveling, cleaning, and assisting in maintaining the premises in good condition.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:


  • This position requires an active noncommercial Pennsylvania Class C driver's license or equivalent.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
