Shake and Bake Airplane Parts

We are looking for mechanical engineers who want to be a part of our team designing and testing remote piloted aircraft.

You will be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing the designs you test go from prototypes to realized hardware in our in-house manufacturing facility and then onto the aircraft itself.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise a team of avionics test engineers.
  • Review proposals and estimate future work.
  • Develop environmental test plans from requirements.
  • Flowdown requirements from the aircraft level to the individual component level.
  • Manage and coordinate testing, ensuring execution to your plan.
  • Work with the crossfunctional team to respond to and recover from any failures that occur.
  • Report results of testing and recommend design improvements as appropriate.
  • Juggle more than one test program at a time and track changing schedules and priorities.
  • Design test fixtures.
  • Assess environmental compliance of off the shelf components.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, four or more years of experience with a master's degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have good teamwork skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate work.
  • Must have strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas; capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact and lead a team of moderately experienced professional employees on single component projects.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.
  • A Professional Engineering License and original work published in professional engineering journals are desirable.

Salary:
$116,480 - $208,505
