    We are looking for talents to join us on this exciting journey Responsibilities Design, develop, and build large-scale backend software systems that power various TikTok applications/platforms including TV, Pad, Web, and/or Embedded Widgets.

    Write documentation, coding, and work cross-functionally to plan on how to deliver the latest features on the platforms to improve the usage of our products in the platforms.

    Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product.

    Leverage data to understand our users and our product in-depth, identify areas of opportunity, and execute projects to drive user growth, retention, and/or engagement.

    Leverage all of TikTok's existing frameworks and be a part of team designing and implementing new techniques and foundation work that can further improve user experience.

    Develop deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms. Assist the team in defining A/B testing frameworks to measure and improve user retention and engagement. Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development. Mentor junior software engineers and interns.

    Qualifications Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

    Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
    Designing and implementing large-scale, distributed online software services using programming language Java, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python; Designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby; Maintaining and debugging software services; Designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services; Designing and managing databases to support online services using MySQL or Redis; and Applying Network protocols and using Unix/Linux operating system
