Your Mission:


As a Heavy Equipment Operator, your mission is to safely and efficiently operate mulching equipment, including front-end loaders, excavators, and grinders.

You will be responsible for operating front-end loaders, excavators, and grinders, safely and efficiently, contributing to the production of high-quality compost and mulch from organic waste as well as yard and wood waste.


Here's what an ordinary day of work might look like:

  • Operate front-end loaders, excavators, and horizontal grinders to process organic, yard and wood waste materials into compost and mulch.
  • Facilitate the compost and mulching process, including grinding, piling, and periodic turning to ensure final product quality.
  • Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

This job is for you if:

  • You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • You have at least 1 year of heavyduty machinery operations experience with dozers, frontend loaders and excavators.
  • Mechanical Aptitude required to complete daily inspections and service requirements.
  • You work well as a team and on your own and are reliable.
  • You are able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • You are open to learning, and not afraid to make mistakes / ask for feedback.
  • You hold a valid Driver's License it is a requirement.
  • We are a drugfree workplace, and a preemployment drug screening is required.

Compensation package:

- $25 - $30 per hour based on experience
