    Hiring Opportunity:
    Alachua, FL


    Our client is looking to hire an Assistant Controller for their Alachua Florida location Our client is one of North America's premier concrete manufacturing companies that specialize in precast concrete products.

    They have also expanded their reach to include steel fabrication for a variety of renewable energy companies.

    The Assistant Controller will be in charge of the coordination of data amongst all 9 locations throughout the company.

    They will play a critical role in driving process improvement, overseeing cost allocations, and enhancing financial reporting.

    Successful candidates will have proven experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, and cost allocations. They must also have stellar communication, as this role requires communication with all 9 locations.

    Details:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA or CMA certification (preferred but not required)
    • Proven experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, and cost allocations.
    • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Expertise in using Power BI for financial reporting and analysis (preferred)
    • Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (accountmate or accumatica preferred)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
    • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to maintain the integrity of financial data.
    • Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance department.
    • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to implement process changes and streamline financial workflows.
    • Develop and document standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Oversee the cost allocation process to ensure accurate and equitable distribution of expenses.
    • Analyze cost allocation methods and recommend improvements for better cost management.
    • Leverage technology, including Power BI, to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
    • Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards using Power BI for management review.
    • Analyze financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
