Job Summary:


Server Assistants at the Walt Disney World Resort a responsible for maintaining a positive and inviting atmosphere, while ensuring a world-class dining experience at various restaurant locations throughout our Theme Parks and Resorts This fast-paced, high Guest impact role services multiple styles of dining, from cocktailing, to table service, to signature, and is vital to operating a successful restaurant.

This role requires high Guest engagement, problem solving, and critical thinking, all of which are imperative to your success.


The pay rate for this role in Florida is $8.98 per hour.

Responsibilities:


  • Greet Guests, provide assistance and information and explain restaurant promotions
  • Follow all food safety regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Assist servers by retrieving food & beverage items from kitchens and serving to our Guest, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks
  • Uphold location theming by maintaining a role in the show, while providing excellent Guest Service
  • Perform various restaurant duties including but not limited to setting tables, stocking drinks, condiments and side stations, and pouring beverages, including alcohol
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors and bussing tables
  • Work with and around all foods and food allergens, including but not limited to beef, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, gluten, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg and dairy products

Basic Qualifications:


  • MUST be able to demonstrate Cultural Authenticity pertaining to Canada
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Observational skills to identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize tasks
  • Passion for connecting with Guest and Cast Members from all lines of business to provide excellent service
  • Physical role including heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, twisting, standing & walking for extended periods, climbing, and kneeling
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, from high heat areas in the kitchen and outdoors, to cold areas in freezers and coolers
  • Cast Members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Cast Members will be exposed to all types of food and beverage products

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bilingual preferred
  • Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred
  • Part-Time requires full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
