The Information Technology (IT) department plays a pivotal role in accelerating Daktronics' success by leading the company on a digital transformation journey.

In this transformation, IT collaboratively partners with stakeholders to gain insights into their work, challenges, and needs to deliver digital solutions and keep solutions performing well.

These solutions enable automation, delight users, and equip users to perform more value-add activities.
As the IT Operations Specialist, you will be asked to:

Work effectively as a team member across multiple IT Infrastructure disciplines including Server, Network, and Security.
Serve as escalation point for our outsourced IT Help Desk team:
Provide advanced support to the IT Help Desk team in resolving incidents.
Offer workarounds for work stoppage issues.
Review incoming escalations from the IT Help Desk.
Ensure proper procedures or processes are followed.
Verify incident resolutions are well captured in the case and IT Knowledge Base.
Escalate outstanding incidents to other teams or individuals accordingly and in a timely manner.
Communications liaison between IT Help Desk and IT Infrastructure teams.
Provide support to the IT Client Services team in fulfilling requests.
Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents to maintain system availability and reliability.
Resolve standard work requests as documented in the IT Infrastructure Knowledge Base.
Escalate non-standard or non-documented standard work requests to team members for review and documentation.
Raise recurring work requests to IT Infrastructure team leads for review as an ongoing problem.
Analyze current IT systems to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement and enhancement.
Learn and document standard practices around varying purpose focused systems.
Rotating on-call schedule for a week at a time to support IT Help Desk escalations and work stoppage issues.

Where will I be working?
Daktronics offers the flexibility to work from a U.S. home or Daktronics location. Strong preference given to candidates within commutable distance to a Daktronics facility. This opportunity is open to U.S. based candidates.

Exact working hours are flexible, but this position will typically be based on working during regular business hours in the Central time zone.

Qualifications
What do I need to be qualified?
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, but an associate's degree will also be considered with demonstrated experience. Ideal majors include Information Systems, Computer Science or similar technical degrees.

Proven top-notch customer service and IT background.
Project management experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills showing collaboration with others and building effective relationships.
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
Continued willingness and desire to learn and be flexible with an evolving workload.
Strong organizational skills where you have managed multiple and changing priorities with accuracy.
Commitment to following policies and procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft 365 Apps and Windows Operating Systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English, written and verbal.
Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
