Brookings South Dakota State University (SDSU ) is currently seeking a self-motivated, team player with a willingness to learn to join our team as a Computer Support Specialist for our Information Security department
Job Responsibilities: The purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of computer, client, and network support to ensure effective installations, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of computer hardware and software


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

*Knowledge of:

• A wide variety of computer software, hardware, and peripherals University IT Security standards and incorporates that knowledge in the support process Hardware and software troubleshooting Understanding of a support desk process and customer service Ability to:
• Diagnose and resolve workstation, laptop, and network problems Operate a variety of software applications Establish effective working relationships Communicate effectively with others Team orientated Willingness to learn
  

Required License: Valid Drivers License
Comments: Interpersonal and customer service skills in assisting and responding to questions from users and experience in installing operating systems and software, desired.
