- Manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
- Manage material requirements and schedules to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and practices for cost control, waste reduction, quality, regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA), safety and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
- Determine operations headcount needs and ensure compliance with Company policies.
- Support negotiation of the Union bargaining agreement, administer operations within the agreement, and maintain constructive relations with the Union.
- Identify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
- Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Daily supervision of a team of managers, supervisors, and administrative personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years management experience in consumer product manufacturing, plastics manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and multiple continuous improvement techniques required.
- Technical skills in materials and inventory management, production scheduling, and preventive maintenance.
