Overview
This position works 48 hours per 2 week pay period (.6 FTE) on the night shift, 12 hour shifts, and every third weekend rotation.
The Registered Nurse in the EDIN (Emergency Department Inpatient Nurse) is responsible and accountable for monitoring and caring for inpatients who are admitted waiting for an inpatient bed.
This role will provide med/surg nursing experience within the ED setting.
After one year of experience in this role, the RN will have an opportunity to cross-train and transition into the emergency department.

The Nurse Residency Program is designed to bridge the gap between academia and real-world clinical practice as new grad/novice nurses make transition from nursing school to hospital nursing practice.
This program offers an organized, structured, and practice-based learning environment that helps newly graduated nurses' transition smoothly into the dynamic and fast-paced world of healthcare.
This program is a testament to our commitment to fostering the growth and development of our nursing team by providing an environment where new nurses can learn and supplementing the work that our nurse preceptors do with new orientees.

Responsibilities/Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).
The RN will be in charge of performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.Qualifications
