Position Summary:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for checking all products for accuracy against quality standards and delivering products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely fashion.
The person in this role is expected to work as part of a team and support the restaurant by performing other workstation duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparing the vehicle for delivery
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean according to restaurant standards
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy
- Following proper delivery procedures and providing quality customer service
- Acting with a sense of urgency so customers receive their food as quickly as possible
- Remaining familiar with the delivery area, traffic patterns and alternate routes
- Accepting and managing cash or credit payments, having a daily 'bank' to make change
- Performing as an extension of the restaurant team by ensuring excellent customer service, professionalism and positivity
- Performing other assigned duties including making quality products, preparing ingredients and taking orders
Making sure that all orders are mapping correctly before dispatching them to yourself:
- Stocking soda, sweeping, mopping and cleaning the driver area
- Running other necessary errands as deemed by the management team
- Maintaining a proper uniform including: Paisans T-Shirt or uniform shirt, black pants or shorts, Paisans hat and appropriate shoes
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Ability to handle stress under pressure and in fast-paced situations
- Work well with others and collaborate as a member of a team
- Positive attitude
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules
- Must be 18 years of age and at least 2 years driving experience, have a driver's license valid under the laws of the state(s) where the team member works, an acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory vehicle
