    Description
    Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

    Occupational Therapist - 2024/2025 School Year

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
    • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students functional abilities and needs.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success in the classroom and beyond.
    • Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents on strategies to support students occupational therapy goals.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed.

    Special Requirements:

    • Active and valid New Mexico state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
    • New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification.

    Qualifications:

    • Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
    • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and interventions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and provide consultation to school staff and parents.
    • Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to students.
