SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits.

To be eligible for the SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:

Must currently
be serving in the US Armed Services with at least 6 months prior to DOS**
Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction

Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.

Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.

Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.

Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.

The Collins Aerospace Military Internship Program is an approved SkillBridge provider and is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Place purchase orders in accordance with all policies and procedures to optimize price, leadtime, and payment terms
  • Attend customer order status meetings
  • Communicate status updates to internal customers
  • Coordinate and monitor alternate options for supporting shortages
  • Actively monitors part sales before ordering and requests changes from planning
  • Create On Time Delivery Metrics
  • Liaise with suppliers, engineering, quality, and Aftermarket leadership as necessary to help resolve supply issues
  • Resolve customs/shipping documents with inbound logistics for processing and clearance of goods
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement events and activities

Basic Qualifications/Experience Needed:


  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Degree in Supply Chain
  • Project Management experience
  • Supply chain background
  • O365, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and customers

Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
